- הֵינוּחַm. (נוח) setting down, temporary deposit. Y.B. Mets.II, beg.8b דרךה׳ in the way an object is laid down (to be taken up again), opp. משוקע hidden away. Ib.; Bab. ib. 21a דרךה׳, opp. דרך נפילה accidental dropping Ib. 25b ספקה׳ a case which leaves it doubtful whether an object was laid down to be called for again, or dropped.Zeb.27a מחשבתה׳ the intention of letting the blood of the sacrifice stand over the due time (v. ib. III, 6).
